Subash Palaniappan is an independent Consultant to NEXEA. He was an Executive Vice President in Maybank playing a key role in driving innovation for the group. He was driving new ways of work using Agile, Design Thinking and Lean Startup through a customized initiative called [email protected]. 

He was also head of Idea Design for Maybank Innovation, one of the very first banks to set up a dedicated unit for Innovation. As head of Design, he spearheaded innovation projects and over 20 Startup partnerships through programmes like MaybankFintech (since 2015) and Hackathons. 

He is a certified Scrum Master, RPA (robotic process automation), Data Analytics and to top it off, a certificate in Psychology 101.

Prior to assuming his role in Maybank, Subash founded a technology startup and also a graphic design company. He started his career as a consultant with Accenture consulting banks, teleco’s and governments in Malaysia, Singapore and the UK. Subash, having graduated with a Computer Science degree is proud to be a techie at heart, always.
